Livigno sits in a broad valley crossed by the Spöl River in the midst of the Stelvio and Engadina Natural Parks.
Famous as a duty-free area, the town is also renowned for its brisk, dry climate and its excellent position that always faces the sun from morning to dusk. Livigno is a true skiing paradise, with 115 kilometers of ski runs on six different slopes, all at an altitude of between 2000 and 3000 meters. It is one of Europe’s liveliest and best-equipped winter resorts, with 33 modern ski lifts, including thirteen chair lifts, three aerial cable cars, and seventeen ski tows. There are also 40 kilometers of cross-country trails and several snowboard and freestyle runs. Besides enjoying a day of skiing, you can also stop at a chalet along the ski runs and try one of the many special Valtellina dishes. Livigno interactive ski map Photo Gallery Livigno |
